BACKGROUND

John has been specialising in smoke control design since 2002 and has wide UK and international experience as a specialist designer in above ground smoke control systems, including natural, mechanical extract and pressurisation systems. Car park ventilation design experience is worldwide and includes some of the largest in the Middle East.  

INTERNATIONAL & UK SEMINARS 

John has written and presented technical seminars to consultant engineers, government, universities, local and national fire authorities in over 25 countries.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

John is a Chartered Building Engineer (CABE Member No. 66398010) and sits on the CABE Expert Panel. He is a full Member of The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE Member No. 00056696), where he represents the IFE on British Standards Technical Committee FSH/025 and serves as an invited member of the IFE Technical Panel. He is a former Chairman of the IFE Smoke Ventilation Special Interest Group, established to promote best practice and heighten awareness in smoke control engineering, and is a Member of the International Association for Fire Safety Science (IAFSS). 

John represents The Institution of Fire Engineers as a 'Technical Committee Member' at the British Standards Institution
