Smoke Ventilation Consultancy Ltd was founded in 2018 by John Paul Reeves, who has specialised in smoke control since 2002. His experience covers natural ventilation, mechanical extract and pressurisation systems in the UK and abroad, including car park ventilation on some of the largest installations in the Middle East.

He has written and presented technical seminars for consultant engineers, government bodies, universities and fire authorities in the UK and abroad.

Independence

SVC is independent of every manufacturer, supplier, specialist contractor and trade association. We do not supply, install, commission or maintain any product or system. Where our reports refer to a product, they do so by the standard it must meet, never by the name of a maker, unless referring to an existing specific product within a project.

Training

John is a Director of Smoke Control Training Ltd, which provides smoke ventilation awareness training and CPD for building and site managers, maintenance companies, inspectors and fire and rescue service personnel.

Away from work

John has been riding motorcycles for over 25 years and has owned a wide range of bikes. He currently rides a Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650.
